3 Things To Do

Play the cards you’re dealt

Are you a pitch player? Join in with locals for the trick-taking card game at a Public Pitch Party, happening on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sterling Senior Center. Refreshments will be served at the party, which is sponsored by the Sterling Grange. All are welcome.

Celebrate the season

Paxton’s annual Winter Carnival — appropriately themed, Super Bowl — will bring out the best of the season this weekend. Join in the fun at the Paxton Center Fields from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4. Ice skating, s’mores making and a chili contest are all part of the planned fun.

Shop at the market

Local farmers and vendors are gathering this weekend to offer the community the chance to shop right in the heart of Princeton. The Princeton Winter Farmer’s Market will be open on Sunday, Feb. 5 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church on Mountain Road in Princeton. Grab some game day grub — fresh meats and vegetables from 12 local vendors will be sold throughout the day. Bring the whole family along, there will be live music and fun for kids.
