September events at Richards Memorial Library

Richards Memorial Library is hosting a series of September events.

Story Hour for children from birth to 2 ½ years will be offered at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays. This program focuses on language development and socialization and includes lots of songs, rhymes and stories.

The program is sd followed by an open ended art and crafts experience, soo have your child wear playy clothes. The program begins on SSept. 1111. Story Hour for children ages 2 ½ years and older will take place at 11 a.m. on Fridays. This program begins on Sept. 13. To register your child, call the library at 508-754-0793.

Where do balloons come from and where do they go? Find out during the library’s Family Night at 6:30 p.m. on SepSept. 10.

The Friends of the Library will meet at 7 p.m on Sept. 17. Anyone intinterested in joining is wewelcome to attend.

The Third Thursday Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Sept. 19.

Selections are “The Tender Bar” by J.R. Moehringer and “Tell the Wolves I’m Home,” by Carol Rifka Brunt.

Learn about Meditation for Stress Free LivingLiv with Dr. Allan HughesH h at 2 p.m. on Sept. 21 at the library.

The After-School Book Club for children in grades 4-6 will meet at 3 p.m. on Sept. 25. The first selection will be “The One and Only Ivan,” by Katherine Applegate. Copies will be available at the library.
