Sterling’s school assessment drops

Wachusett Regional School District Committee chairman Lance Harris told the Sterling Board of Selectmen at its July 31 meeting that Sterling will pay less for its assessment to the schools this fiscal year than previously thought. No further action is needed by the towns, he said.

Sterling’s assessment to the school district has gone down from $9,906,000 in this past fiscal year to $9,858,859 in the current fiscal year 2014.
