Cynthia Nowak Zimmer

Cynthia Lee (Nowak) Zimmer, 65, formerly of Princeton, Massachusetts died July 30, 2013, in hospice in Dayton, Ohio, after a long illness. She was born in El Paso, Texas, on January 11, 1948, to Albine Joseph and Veronica Paw Nowak. She attended high school at Loretto Academy in El Paso, and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Texas at El Paso. Before moving to Princeton in 1984, she worked as an elementary school teacher and university day care center director in New Mexico where her husband was stationed in the US Air Force.

Cynthia joined the Princeton Public Library as children’s librarian in 1986, and later worked as manager of children’s books at the former Tatnuck Booksellers in Worcester until 2001. She was a parishioner at Prince of Peace Parish in Princeton. Cynthia is survived by her husband of 43 years, Walter, of Fairborn, Ohio, and their son, Jonathan, of Arlington, Virginia.
